How it works and how to install
Cut a piece of tubing to the desired length, slide it over the electrical connection or cable that needs insulation, then heat evenly with a heat gun or hot air source until the tube fully shrinks onto the surface. The process takes a few seconds. The tube shrinks radially by a minimum of 50%, perfectly adapting to cylindrical shapes and ensuring hermetic insulation. No adhesives or additional consumables are required.

What cable diameter can I insulate with this 10mm tube?
The uncontracted 10mm tube is suitable for cables with a diameter between 5mm and 10mm. After shrinkage, it firmly secures to the chosen cable.
Can I use a regular heat gun or do I need special equipment?
Any DIY heat gun is sufficient. The shrinkage temperature is 90 degrees Celsius, easily reached with any hot air source.
Does the tube shrink lengthwise or only in diameter?
Radial shrinkage is over 50%, and the change in length is minimal, maximum plus/minus 5%, so the length remains practically constant.

This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
