How it works and how to install
The thermostat uses a bimetallic strip that deforms as the temperature rises. At 80°C, the strip opens the electrical contact, interrupting the power supply. After cooling, the contact automatically closes. Installation is done by fixing the metal bracket to the equipment surface with screws, then connecting the two poles to the electrical circuit. It does not require advanced electrical knowledge, but it is recommended to observe polarity and the maximum capacity of 10A.

Can the thermostat be manually reset if it tripped?
It is not necessary. The thermostat automatically resets once the temperature drops below 80°C, restoring the electrical connection.
Can I use the thermostat for heating systems with power greater than 10A?
No. The maximum permissible current is 10A at 250V. For higher powers, the thermostat will be damaged and will no longer provide correct protection.
How precise is the trip temperature?
The 80°C threshold has a tolerance of +/-5°C, in accordance with standards for bimetallic thermostats. Tripping is consistent throughout the product's lifespan.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
