How it works and how to install it
The thermostat uses a metal capillary filled with thermal fluid that expands with heat, actuating electrical contacts to turn the heat source on or off. The 80mm capillary is inserted into the measurement area, and the rotary knob on the front is adjusted to the desired temperature. Installation requires connecting the 3 contact terminals according to your equipment's diagram — we recommend checking polarity and cable cross-section compatible with 16A. The 900mm cord offers flexibility in mounting.

The mechanical capillary thermostat has a tolerance of approximately plus or minus 5°C, sufficient for most baking and pastry applications.
Can the stainless steel capillary be bent without damage?
Stainless steel allows for slight bending for positioning, but avoid abrupt or repeated bends that could affect the internal fluid seal.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
