How it works and how to install
The power supply converts the 220V AC mains voltage to 24V DC required by LED strips. It connects to the outlet via the input cable, and the LED strip is connected to the output, respecting the polarity marked on the cables - red to plus, black to minus. The slim body can be fixed with screws or double-sided adhesive strips in the available space. Cooling is passively achieved through the aluminum casing, with no moving parts requiring maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
How many meters of LED strip can I power with this supply?
It depends on the power of the strip per meter. For a 24V LED strip of 10W/m, you can power up to 10 meters; for a 20W/m strip, approximately 5 meters. Check that the total power does not exceed 100W.
Can it be used in bathrooms or kitchens?
No, this power supply has an IP20 protection rating, making it exclusively for dry indoor spaces. For wet areas, you need power supplies with IP65 or higher.
Does it get very hot during operation?
The aluminum casing heats up moderately, as it is designed for heat dissipation. Ensure adequate ventilation around the power supply and do not cover cooling vents.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
