How it works and how to install it
The passive TV splitter takes the signal from the source through a single input connector (IN) and distributes it to the 4 output connectors (OUT), without amplifying it. Installation consists of connecting the coaxial cable from the wall outlet or receiver to the splitter's input, then connecting the cables to each TV at the 4 outputs — the operation takes a few minutes. Please note: since the signal is physically split, it is recommended that the input signal level be sufficiently strong; if the image quality is poor, a signal amplifier must be used before the splitter.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
