How it works and how to install it
The fuse is installed in the audio system's fuse holder, on the positive power cable, as close as possible to the battery. When the 40A threshold is exceeded, the internal filament instantly breaks and cuts off power, preventing amplifier damage. Replacement is simple: remove the blown fuse from the holder and insert a new one with the same amperage.

How do I know what amperage fuse I need for my audio system?
Check the amplifier's power in the specifications. General rule: RMS power divided by 12V, multiplied by 1.5 for safety. For example, a 500W RMS amplifier requires a minimum 60A fuse.
Can I use this fuse directly on the battery cable?
Yes, but it must be installed in a suitable fuse holder, no more than 30cm from the battery terminal, on the positive cable. It should never be installed without a protective holder.
Can it be used in any car brand?
Yes, the fuse is universal and compatible with any aftermarket audio installation, regardless of the car brand. The important thing is that the amperage matches the audio system's consumption.

This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
