How it works and how to install
Each cable tie has a head with a round hole into which the screw is inserted for fastening to the desired surface. Pass the cable or pipe through the loop of the tie, then tighten it to the appropriate level — the ratchet mechanism automatically locks the position. Installation takes a few seconds at each fastening point and does not require special tools other than a screwdriver. Excess plastic is easily trimmed with pliers after tightening.

How durable are these cable ties?
They are made of quality plastic, resistant to normal wear and moderate humidity, but are not recommended for outdoor applications with direct exposure to weather or for very heavy loads.
Can they be reused after tightening?
No, the ratchet mechanism locks the tie in one direction only. Once tightened, it must be cut to be removed.
How thick of cables can they hold?
With a length of 150mm, they can hold bundles of cables or pipes with a diameter of up to approximately 45mm, depending on their shape and arrangement.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
