How it works and how to install it
The PIR-8 sensor detects motion via passive infrared and automatically switches the connected lighting circuit. You connect the 12-24V power source to the input terminals marked INPUT, and the LED lighting to the OUTPUT terminals. The connection diagram is printed on the casing and visible in the product images. After connecting, fix the sensor in the desired location with screws through the side holes, orienting the lens towards the passage area. Adjust the illumination time using the integrated potentiometer, then test its operation.

Does it work with both 12V and 24V LED strips?
Yes, the sensor accepts any voltage between 12V and 24V DC, automatically detecting the applied voltage. It is important that the connected lighting does not exceed 6A maximum current.
How long does the lighting stay on after detecting motion?
The time is adjustable via the integrated potentiometer, between a minimum of 20 seconds and a maximum of 5-10 minutes, depending on your needs.
Can I use the sensor outdoors for garage lighting?
The sensor operates between -20 and +60 degrees Celsius, but it is not waterproof. It can only be used outdoors in covered areas, protected from rain and direct moisture.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
