How it works and how to install
The heating element is mounted via the PSQ flange in the lower part of the boiler, connecting to the 230V electrical network. The 175mm bent copper loop submerges in water and converts electrical energy into heat, raising the liquid's temperature. Installation requires prior draining of the boiler, removal of the old flange, cleaning of limescale deposits, and securing the new heating element with the included gaskets and screws. The entire operation takes approximately 45-60 minutes for a person with minimal DIY experience. The central thread allows the attachment of the magnesium anode which protects the metallic walls of the boiler.

Will the heating element fit my boiler if the flange has a different shape?
Check the diameter and type of the original flange — this heating element is designed for standard PSQ flanges. If your boiler has this type of flange, installation is directly compatible.
How long does it take to heat water to 60 degrees?
For an 80-liter boiler, the 1500W heating element heats water from ambient temperature to 60 degrees Celsius in approximately 90-120 minutes, depending on the initial temperature and boiler insulation.
Do I need to replace the magnesium anode along with the heating element?
Yes, it is recommended to replace the anode if it is more than 50% worn, as a functional anode significantly extends the lifespan of both the new heating element and the boiler.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
