How it works and how to install
The bridge rectifier automatically converts AC alternating current to DC direct current through its four polarity-marked connection pins. The pins are inserted directly into the printed circuit board or connected via wires to the transformer and load. The aluminum heat sink can optionally be fixed to an additional heatsink for maximum power applications. It does not require additional components for basic operation.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
