Each rigid plastic cover mounts directly onto the RJ45 plug before crimping, protecting both the connector and the cable at the entry point. How it works and how to install it
The protective cover is inserted onto the UTP or FTP cable before crimping the RJ45 plug, with the opening facing the end of the cable. After crimping the plug, the sleeves slide over the connector and are secured by their shape, covering the junction area between the plug and the cable. No tools, adhesive, or additional steps are required — the operation takes a few seconds per cable.

Do these protectors also fit Cat6 cables, not just Cat5?
Yes, the sleeves are compatible with UTP and FTP cables of Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 categories. It is recommended to check the cable diameter before use with thicker jacket Cat6 cables.
Do they mount before or after crimping the plug?
Always before crimping — the cover must be on the cable, with the opening towards the plug, and after crimping, it is pulled over the connector.
Are all 100 pieces in the package the same color or are they mixed?
The package contains exclusively 100 pieces in red, with no other color mix.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
