How it works and how to install it
The solar panel (8V, 30W) is mounted on a sun-exposed surface — wall, roof, or pole — and connected to the floodlight via the included cable; the integrated LiFePO4 battery charges automatically during the day. At dusk, the floodlight can start automatically or manually via the remote control, without any complex programming. Installation does not require an electrician: the kit includes all mounting elements, and the entire process takes an average of 20-30 minutes.

Does the solar floodlight work in cloudy weather or winter?
Yes, the solar panel charges the battery even on overcast days, but the charging capacity is reduced proportionally to the intensity of sunlight; on a completely cloudy day, the night autonomy may be shorter than in optimal conditions.
How long does it illuminate after a full day of charging?
At maximum intensity, typical autonomy is approximately 8 hours; at reduced intensity or in AUTO mode, the floodlight can operate longer, depending on the accumulated charge level.
Do the solar panel and floodlight need to be mounted in the same place?
Not necessarily — the two components are connected by a cable, so the panel can be oriented towards the sun on a different surface than the floodlight, offering flexibility in installation.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
