Do I need a separate LED driver, or does it work directly with 12V?
The board operates directly with constant 12V DC, so a stabilized 12V power supply with a minimum of 6A is sufficient — a constant current driver is not necessary.
Is mounting on a heatsink mandatory?
Yes, at 70W power, using a heatsink is mandatory to prevent overheating. Without adequate thermal dissipation, the lifespan of the LEDs decreases significantly.
Can it replace a faulty COB module from an existing floodlight?
Yes, if the 75x75 mm dimensions and 12V voltage match the original floodlight's specifications, the board can be used as a direct replacement.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
