How it works and how to install
To measure current, open the clamp and clip it around a single conductor, and the device will display the value without direct contact. For voltage and resistance, connect the included test leads to the indicated terminals and select the desired function by rotating the central switch. The maximum jaw opening of 57mm allows clamping large cables. It is powered by a standard 9V battery, included in the package.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I measure current on multiple conductors simultaneously?
No, the clamp must enclose a single conductor for correct measurement. If you clamp both phase and neutral together, the values will cancel each other out.
What type of battery does it use, and is it included?
The device uses a 9V 6F22 battery. The battery is included in the package, along with the test leads and user manual.
Can it measure DC current, or only AC?
This model measures AC current up to 1000A. For voltage, it can measure both AC and DC within the ranges specified in the specifications table.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
