How it works and how to install
The F-connector is mounted on the RG6U coaxial cable after stripping its end: the central conductor remains free, and the braids are folded back over the jacket before inserting the cable into the connector. The operation does not require special tools and can be performed by any installer or user with minimal experience in coaxial cables.

This connector is calibrated for RG6U cable with an outer diameter of approximately 6.8mm. RG59 cable has a smaller diameter and requires an F-connector with a different gauge.
Do I need a special crimping tool to mount the connector on the cable?
No. The screw-on F-connector is mounted without a crimping tool — a knife for stripping the cable and your hand for tightening the thread are sufficient.
Can this connector be used outdoors, for antennas mounted on the roof?
The connector can also be used outdoors, but it is recommended to protect the joint with self-vulcanizing sealing tape to prevent moisture penetration over time.
