How it works and how to install it
The male BNC compression connector is mounted at the end of the RG6U coaxial cable after it has been properly stripped and prepared: the outer insulation is removed to the indicated length, the shielding braid is folded back, and the internal dielectric is shortened to expose the central conductor. The connector is pushed onto the cable and permanently secured with a dedicated compression tool, which compresses the metal ring at the back of the connector and locks the cable in place. The entire process takes less than a minute per connector and requires no soldering or electrical tools.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
