Compact 12V RGB LED Strip Signal Amplifier
The 12V RGB LED mini-amplifier with wires solves the problem of voltage drop when extending an RGB LED strip over longer distances. Installed in-line, it takes the control signal from the controller and powers the next section of the strip directly from the power supply, maintaining identical colors and effects throughout the entire length. Suitable for 3528 and 5050 LED strips, it is used in ambient lighting installations for living rooms, offices, restaurants, clubs, or luminous panels.

How it works and how to install it
The amplifier connects in series on the RGB LED strip: the input takes the color and effect signal from the existing controller, and the output powers the next section of the strip. Separate 12V power (between 8 and 16V) is supplied directly from the power source, not from the controller, so the additional current does not overload the control circuit. Connections are made by soldering or clamps to the strip's wires — red wire to +12V, black wire to GND — an operation achievable without special equipment in a few minutes.

How far from the strip can I use this amplifier?
There is no fixed distance limit — the amplifier is used whenever the current in the previous segment is no longer sufficient to maintain correct colors, typically every 5-10 meters of strip, depending on the LED density and power source capacity.
Do I need a separate controller or does the amplifier include control functions?
The amplifier does not have its own control functions — it only repeats and amplifies the signal received from the existing RGB controller. The main controller remains necessary for selecting colors and effects.
Can I connect multiple such amplifiers in the same system?
Yes, you can connect multiple amplifiers in series, each powered separately from the source, to extend the RGB LED strip virtually as much as you need, provided the power source has the necessary capacity.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
