How it works and how to install it
The solar panel (170 x 105 mm) is fixed to a wall, fence, or surface with good sun exposure, using the included bracket and two screws. The connection cable links the panel to the light fixture (diameter 180 mm, height 70 mm), which is hung on the included metal hook — on a tree, on a gazebo ceiling, or on a bar. No electrical connection or electrician is needed: complete assembly takes less than 20 minutes with a standard screwdriver. The remote control works remotely and allows switching on, off, intensity adjustment, and timer setting directly from your hand.
Frequently asked questions
Does the lamp work if the panel is not in direct sunlight all day?
Yes, the panel charges the battery even in diffuse or partial light, but the night autonomy will be shorter. For 8 hours of illumination, a minimum of 6 hours of direct solar exposure is recommended.
Can I use this lamp indoors, for example in a garage or enclosed gazebo?
Yes, this is exactly the scenario it was designed for. The panel is mounted outside, on a sun-exposed wall or roof, and the light fixture remains indoors, connected by cable.
How long is the cable between the panel and the lamp?
The connection cable is long enough to separate the panel from the light fixture at a distance — visible in the images as a coiled cable of approximately 3-5 meters, allowing flexibility in mounting.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
