How it works and how to install it
The lamp assembles in less than a minute: you connect the metal pole to the circular base, attach the lampshade on top, and place it on the table — no tools or technical knowledge required. The solar panel on top of the lamp automatically charges the integrated battery during the day, and in the evening, you turn it on directly from the included remote control. If the battery needs a quick charge, connect the USB-C cable to any standard charger.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
