The W828 work light with COB 30W LED is a self-contained lighting source, designed for intensive use in areas without access to the electrical grid. The combination of cool white light for work illumination and red-blue signaling makes it useful on construction sites and in workshops, as well as in emergency situations, camping, or fishing. With four included 18650 rechargeable batteries and the ability to charge phones via the USB port, the W828 also functions as a backup power source.

How it works and how to install it
The W828 work light does not require installation — take it out of the box, insert the four 18650 batteries into the back compartment, charge it via the micro-USB port at 5V DC (any phone charger or USB port) for approximately 3 hours, after which it is ready to operate. The integrated stand allows the lamp to be tilted to direct light exactly where needed, and the buttons on the back of the casing switch between lighting and signaling modes. No tools or fixed electrical connection are required.

Can I use the lamp while it's charging?
No. Turning on the lamp during charging can damage the LEDs and reduce battery life — first connect the charger, allow it to fully charge, then use the lamp.
How long does the battery last at maximum intensity?
At 100% power, the autonomy is approximately 5 hours; at 50%, it increases to approximately 8 hours, depending on the condition of the batteries.
Can the included batteries be replaced if they wear out?
Yes, the back compartment is accessible and accepts standard 4.2V 18650 batteries, available commercially.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
