How it works and how to install
The switch is installed on the power cable between the power source and the LED strip, using male and female DC 2.1mm connectors. You fix the plastic holder to the furniture with screws or double-sided adhesive tape, insert the sensor into the holder, and connect the cables to the power source and the strip. When you move your hand 1-6 cm from the sensor, it detects presence and switches the lighting state — on becomes off and vice versa. No electrical knowledge is required, installation takes less than 10 minutes.

Yes, it is compatible with SMD LED strips 2835, 3528, 5050 and others, both 12V and 24V, provided you do not exceed 60W at 12V or 120W at 24V.
How close do I need to hold my hand to activate the sensor?
The sensor detects movement at 1-6 cm distance, so a natural wave of the hand in front of it is sufficient without struggling with exact positioning.
Can it be mounted in wet environments or outdoors?
No, the product is intended exclusively for indoor use, in dry environments, away from sources of humidity and excessive heat.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
