How it works and how to install it
The circuit breaker is installed in series on the electrical circuit of the equipment you want to protect. When the current exceeds the 6A threshold due to an overload or short circuit, the internal bimetallic element heats up and automatically trips the circuit. After the cause of the problem has been eliminated and the protection has cooled down, press the red button to reset the circuit breaker and restart the power supply.
Installation requires connecting the two pins to the power circuit, observing polarity and ensuring proper fastening. It is recommended to mount it in a protective box or electrical panel for increased safety. It does not require special tools or advanced electrical knowledge.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know that the thermal protection has tripped?
The red button pops out of its normal position and the connected equipment stops working. To reset, wait a few minutes for it to cool down, then press the button back in.
Can it be used outdoors or in humid environments?
The protection is not certified for humid environments. It is recommended to mount it in an electrical panel or a minimum IP44 protection box if there is a risk of contact with water.
How often should this circuit breaker be replaced?
If it occasionally trips due to actual overload causes, it can function for years. If it trips frequently without reason, it means the thermal element has worn out and needs replacement.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
