How it works and how to install it
The switch is mounted using the two fixing holes at a standard distance of 56x21mm. The 85mm flexible metal rod is actuated by physical contact — when bent, the contact switches instantly and automatically returns to its initial position after release. It connects via three terminals: common, normally closed, and normally open. It works without additional settings, suitable for direct integration into automation circuits or control systems.

What does 1NC + 1NO contact mean and how do I use it?
NC (normally closed) means the contact is closed at rest, NO (normally open) means it is open at rest. Upon actuation, NC opens and NO closes simultaneously, offering flexibility for various circuit configurations.
Can I use the switch with 12V or 24V DC voltage?
Yes, it works perfectly on DC voltages up to 115V, including 12V and 24V, with a maximum current of 0.4A for DC applications.
Does the metal rod return to position by itself or does it stay bent?
The rod has an automatic reset — it returns to the vertical position by itself immediately after the obstruction disappears, without manual intervention.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
