How it works and how to install it
The limit switch is mounted on the fixed part of the equipment using the two mounting holes. When the movable part (door, carriage, mechanical arm) touches the 12mm diameter roller, the rotary piston activates the electrical contact and sends the stop or start signal to the control system. When the pressure is released, the piston automatically returns to its initial position via an internal spring mechanism.
Installation requires connecting the two wires to the control circuit (observing the maximum capacity of 5A at 250V AC) and mechanical fastening with screws in the 4.5mm holes. No calibration required — it works immediately after mounting.

Can it be used for residential gates or only for industrial equipment?
It works perfectly for both residential automatic gates and industrial equipment — the important thing is not to exceed the capacity of 5A at 250V AC.
Is it resistant to outdoor use or does it need to be protected from water and dust?
The standard housing is not sealed — for outdoor use, it needs to be mounted in a protective box with an adequate IP rating or under mechanical protection that shields it from direct moisture.
What happens if I exceed the 5A current?
Exceeding the rated current damages the internal contacts and can cause the switch to malfunction — always use within electrical specifications.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
