How it works and how to install it
The MCCB circuit breaker is installed between the battery bank and the inverter, providing bilateral protection. It is fixed on the DIN rail in the electrical panel using the included side brackets. Connections are made via the upper and lower terminals, using conductors suitable for 250A. In case of overload or short circuit, the automatic mechanism instantly trips the circuit, and the signaling LED indicates the operating status.

Can I use this circuit breaker for my home's electrical installation?
No. This MCCB is designed exclusively for direct current (DC) circuits in photovoltaic systems, electric charging stations, or storage batteries. A different type of protection is required for domestic AC circuits.
What is the maximum current it supports before automatically tripping?
The circuit breaker is calibrated for a rated current of 250A. If this threshold is exceeded or in case of a short circuit, the thermal and electromagnetic mechanism instantly trips the circuit to protect the connected equipment.
Can it be mounted directly on the solar panel or does it need to be in the panel?
It is mounted inside the electrical panel on a standard DIN rail, not directly on the panels. It is designed for the protection of circuits between batteries and the inverter, in an environment protected from direct moisture.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
