How it works and how to install
The transmitter connects to the computer's VGA port and the 3.5mm audio jack input, then links via Cat 5E or Cat 6 UTP/FTP cable to the receiver, which is located near the destination monitor or projector. Both units are powered independently by the included DC 5V adapters, after which the video and audio signal is automatically available, without software configurations. For optimal image quality over long distances, a full copper Cat 6 cable is recommended.

Can I use the UTP network cable I already have installed in the building?
Yes, the extender works on any standard Cat 5E or Cat 6 UTP or FTP cable. No separate cabling is needed if the network infrastructure is available along the desired route.
Is the sound also transmitted, not just the image?
