The XD2PA22-CR joystick lever controller offers direct and precise control in two directions, with automatic return to the initial position after release. Designed for demanding industrial applications — manufacturing machines, extruders, injection lines, or process equipment — this controller combines the robustness of a chrome-plated metal housing with the reliability of NO-NO AC-15 contacts. The standard 22mm mounting diameter ensures compatibility with existing control panels.

How it works and how to install it
The controller is mounted in a control panel through a 22mm hole, using the included fixing nut — the operation takes a few minutes and does not require special tools beyond a wrench. The joystick lever actuates two independent NO (normally open) contacts in opposite directions, and upon release, an internal return mechanism brings the lever back to the central position. Electrical connections are made on screw terminals, accessible from the side, compatible with flexible or rigid conductors of 1.5mm.

Does the lever return to the center automatically or does it stay in the position where I leave it?
It automatically returns to the central position immediately after you release the lever — this is the CR (spring return) type, it does not have position locking.
Is it compatible with 380V in three-phase industrial panels?
The rated insulation voltage is 500-600V, so it supports 380V AC applications without problems; the rated operational current is 3A at 240V AC-15.
Can I mount this controller in an existing panel with 22mm holes?

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
