How it works and how to install it
The start capacitor provides an additional electrical impulse when the electric motor starts, creating a phase shift necessary for generating the starting torque. It connects to the motor terminals via the 4 male spade terminals, and the metal screw ensures mounting on the equipment frame or a separate bracket. After connecting the terminals according to the motor diagram and mechanical fastening, the capacitor automatically activates with each equipment start.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
