How it works and how to install it
The capacitor provides an additional energy boost when the electric motor starts, facilitating the initial rotation of the rotor. You connect the two wires to the motor terminals according to the appliance's electrical diagram — usually, one wire to the main coil and the other to the starting coil. Replacing a faulty capacitor takes less than 10 minutes, requiring only a screwdriver and observing the wire polarity according to the colors (brown — phase, blue — neutral).

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
