How it works and how to install
The start capacitor creates a phase shift between windings, allowing the motor to start under load. It connects in parallel with the start winding via the 2 male spade terminals. Before installation, completely disconnect the appliance from the mains. Identify the motor's start terminals, connect the capacitor's terminals, and secure it in a stable position, protected from overheating. After reconnection, the motor will start instantly without abnormal noises or vibrations.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
