How it works and how to install it
The clock is activated either by connecting it to USB via a phone adapter or by inserting 4 AAA batteries into the back compartment. The SET UP, SET DOWN, and RESET buttons allow you to adjust the time, date, and alarm in seconds. You can choose continuous display or activation by touch to save battery. The 12/24 hour formats and customizable date until 2099 are simply configured from the menu.

Does the display stay on continuously or does it need to be activated?
When powered via USB, the display can remain on permanently. On batteries, it activates by touch or sound to save energy.
Is the time visible at night without being too bright?
Yes, the LED intensity has 3 adjustable levels, including a very dim one for night that does not disturb sleep.
Do I lose settings if the power goes out or I remove the batteries?
No, the CR2032 memory battery retains all settings even without main power.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
