How it works and how to install it
The 12V green push button is mounted in a 16mm circular cutout (effective diameter 15.4mm): it is inserted through the front panel, secured with the metal washer, and the threaded ring is tightened from the back. The 5 contact terminals connect directly to the control circuit without soldering — NO and NC allow selection of the desired logic (normally open or normally closed), and the LED is powered separately at 12V via the dedicated plus and minus terminals. The entire operation takes a few minutes and does not require advanced electrical knowledge.

It is a momentary push button, which automatically returns to its initial position immediately after you release the press.
Does the green LED light up only when I press the button or permanently?
The presence LED is powered independently via the plus and minus terminals, so it can remain lit permanently as long as the circuit is energized, regardless of the button's state.
Can I mount this button in a 2mm thick metal panel?
Yes, the included fixing assembly (gasket, metal washer, threaded ring) is designed for panels of common thicknesses; ensure that the cut-out has a diameter of 16mm.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
