How it works and how to install it
The square red 12V push button is mounted by inserting the body into a round recess with a diameter of 16mm, then secured with the square metal washer and the plastic threaded ring tightened from the back — an operation that can be completed in minutes, without special tools. The 5 spade-type contact pins connect directly to the control scheme: NO and NC contacts for the circuit, the common C contact, and the plus and minus pins for powering the 12V presence LED. With each press, the button momentarily switches the circuit, and the LED indicates the power status independently of the power contacts.

Does the button stay pressed or does it return on its own after pressing?
This is a momentary push button, which automatically returns to its initial position after you release the press — it does not lock in the pressed position.
Is the red LED powered separately or does it light up automatically when pressed?
The LED has independent power through dedicated plus and minus 12V pins, so it can be kept permanently lit as a voltage presence indicator, regardless of the contact status.
Can this button be used at 230V AC in electrical panels?
The contacts support AC 250V at 3A, so it is technically compatible, but it is primarily intended for industrial control applications at low voltages and automation panels, not for 230V household electrical installations.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
