How it works and how to install it
The button is installed by replacing the old switch: disconnect the drill from the mains, open the housing, disconnect the electrical terminals of the worn button, and connect the new switch observing the polarity. The push-button actuation mechanism activates the electrical contact, and the side switch changes the motor's rotation direction. The lock-on is achieved automatically by maintaining pressure on the button, releasing it immediately cuts off the power.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
