The SMD5050 LED strip with 120 LEDs/m provides a dense and uniform warm white light, suitable for decorative and functional lighting in outdoor spaces or humid interiors. How it works and how to install it
The SMD5050 LED strip operates at 12V DC and requires a compatible power supply (not included in the package), connected to the 220V mains. Installation is straightforward: clean the mounting surface, peel off the protective film from the back of the strip, and firmly apply it to the desired surface. If the space requires a length shorter than 5 meters, the strip can be cut with scissors at any of the cutting marks printed on the circuit, without damaging adjacent LEDs.

Yes, the strip operates at 12V DC and requires a 12V power supply with sufficient power for the installed length. The power supply is not included and must be purchased separately.
Can I install this LED strip outdoors, on a terrace or in the garden?
Yes, the IP65 protection makes it resistant to splashing and light rain, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor installation - under eaves, on railings, or on building facades. It is not suitable for immersion in water.
Can the strip be cut to a length shorter than 5 meters?
Yes, the strip can be cut to any desired length, respecting the cutting marks printed on the PCB at regular intervals. The remaining segments can be reconnected and used separately with suitable connectors.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
