How it works and how to install it
The fan is powered directly by a 12V DC source via the two attached wires — red to positive, black to negative. It is mounted on any flat surface using the 4 fixing holes at the corners of the casing, with small screws. After connection, the blades immediately start rotating, generating a constant airflow for active cooling or ventilation. Installation takes less than 5 minutes, with no advanced technical knowledge required.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
