How it works and how to install it
The fan is powered directly from a 24V DC source via the two attached wires: red to positive, black to negative. It is mounted on the equipment surface using the 4 holes on the casing, with M3 or M4 screws. The motor shaft drives the blades which generate an axial airflow, drawing in or expelling air depending on the mounting orientation. It requires no maintenance, as it is equipped with a lifelong lubricated bearing.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work at 12V or only at 24V?
The fan is designed strictly for 24V DC power. Connecting to 12V will significantly reduce rotation speed and airflow, and higher voltages can damage the motor.
Can I mount it outdoors or in humid environments?
The product does not have IP protection and is intended for indoor use, in dry spaces. For applications in environments with humidity or extreme temperatures, fans with an IP54 protection rating or higher are required.
How noisy is it during continuous operation?
At a nominal speed of 3200 rpm, the noise level is moderate, typical for small axial fans, suitable for industrial equipment. It is not recommended for silent residential applications.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
