How it works and how to install it
The thermostat detects the temperature through the stainless steel probe inserted into the oven and interrupts the power supply when it reaches the value set on the dial. Installation involves connecting the two wires to the 220V power circuit of the heating element and inserting the probe into the baking chamber through the existing or separately drilled hole. No special tools are required — just a screwdriver and insulated pliers for connection.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
