How it works and how to install it
The thermostat measures temperature through the stainless steel capillary probe inserted into the oven, then opens or closes the electrical circuit to maintain the desired temperature. Installation is done by connecting the terminals to the power source and positioning the probe in the appropriate place in the oven. You rotate the graduated knob to set the temperature — the thermostat automatically starts and stops the heating elements at the configured level.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
