How it works and how to install
The thermostat detects the internal temperature of the freezer through the metallic capillary and commands the compressor to start or stop to maintain the set temperature. Installation is performed by an authorized technician, who disconnects the appliance from the mains, replaces the old thermostat with the new one, fixes the capillary in the correct position, and reconnects the electrical terminals according to the manufacturer's diagram. The process takes an average of 20-30 minutes.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
