How it works and how to install it
The timer is quickly mounted on the DIN rail in the electrical panel, with connections made via screw terminals for 0.5-2.5 mm² conductors. Programming is simple: rotate the mechanical dial clockwise to the current time, then press down the segments corresponding to the periods when you want the equipment to be on. Each segment represents 15 minutes, allowing for quarter-hour precision. The three-position switch lets you choose between automatic operation, permanently on, or completely off.

Can it be used for LED bulbs and modern lighting fixtures?
Yes, it supports incandescent lamps up to 1100W and fluorescent lamps 2x40W. For LEDs, the 16A capacity at 230V is more than sufficient for any domestic or commercial installation.
How precise is the programming, and does it keep time during a power outage?
The mechanical dial offers 15-minute precision. Being mechanical, it does not require a backup battery, but it must be manually reset after a prolonged power outage, similar to a classic wall clock.
Can I program multiple on and off cycles throughout the day?
Absolutely, you can create up to 96 switching intervals per day by simply pressing the desired segments on the dial. For example, you can turn on the lighting in the morning, turn it off during the day, turn it on in the evening, and turn it off at night.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
