How it works and how to install it
For testing, touch the metallic tip to the suspect contact in the outlet or the open switch, keeping your finger on the metallic button at the end of the handle. If there is voltage within the 220V-240V range, the indicator light in the handle will illuminate. You change the working tip by simply rotating and removing it from the handle, selecting between a flathead or Phillips tip according to the screw type. No batteries or calibration required.

Yes, the 220V-240V range fully covers the standard Romanian network voltage of 230V.
Can I use the screwdriver for normal screwing, not just testing?
Yes, the chrome-vanadium alloy tips are designed for both testing and mechanical work with small screws, but not for high tightening forces.
Do I need to touch the button on the back for the indicator to work?
Yes, to close the detection circuit, you must maintain contact with the metallic button at the end of the handle while touching the live wire.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
