How it works and how to install
The power supply connects to a standard 220V outlet via the attached three-wire cable, converting AC current to 24V DC through the two output conductors. The aluminum casing efficiently dissipates heat, and the IP67 protection allows direct outdoor mounting, secured with screws through the side mounting holes. You connect the output cables to the positive and negative on the LED strip, no electrical experience required — all connections are clearly marked on the casing.

Can it be directly exposed to rain or does it need protection?
The power supply has an IP67 protection rating, which means it resists direct rain, humidity, and dust. It can be mounted outdoors without an additional protective box.
How many meters of 24V LED strip can I power with this supply?
It depends on your strip's wattage per meter. For example, for a 20W/meter strip, you can power approximately 30 meters. For a 10W/meter strip, approximately 60 meters.
Does it get very hot during operation?
The metal aluminum casing efficiently dissipates heat. It is normal for it to be warm to the touch under maximum load, but the design ensures safe operation up to 75°C ambient temperature.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
