How it works and how to install
The holder uses strong neodymium magnets that attract the metal plates attached to the back of the phone or its case. Installation is simple: clean the surface in your car where you want to fix the holder, attach the base with the included 3M tape, then attach one of the metal plates to the back of your phone. Bring the phone close to the holder, and the magnet will instantly grab it. Rotate the holder's head in any direction to find the perfect viewing angle.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
