How it works and how to install
The cable tie has a head with a hole through which a mounting screw passes. Thread the cable or pipe through the loop, tighten the tail through the cable tie head to the desired level, then secure the head with the screw onto the chosen surface. The unidirectional locking mechanism keeps the tie tight without loosening. If you need to readjust, cut the tail and use a new cable tie. Installing one cable tie takes less than 30 seconds.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
