180° Infrared Motion Sensor for Automatic Lighting
The LX39 motion sensor automatically turns on lighting when motion is detected and turns it off after an adjustable period, reducing energy consumption by up to 60%. How it works and how to install it
The infrared sensor detects motion within a 12-meter range and automatically turns on the connected lighting. You can adjust the operating time using the TIME knob (how long it stays on after detection) and the light threshold using LUX (activates only when it's dark). The sensor head can be tilted vertically to adjust the detection area. Mounting is done on the wall with screws, and connecting to the mains is identical to a classic switch - live, neutral, and cable to the bulb.

Can it be used outdoors or only indoors?
It can be used in both environments. The IP44 protection class ensures resistance to splashing water and dust, making it suitable for mounting under eaves or in covered outdoor spaces.
How long does the light stay on after I pass by the sensor?
The time is continuously adjustable between 10 seconds and 7 minutes using the TIME knob on the top of the sensor, depending on your needs.
Does it work with LED bulbs or only classic bulbs?
It works with any type of bulb - LED, CFL, or incandescent, up to a total power of 1200W.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
