This AS-10 twilight light sensor detects the brightness level and automatically activates 24V lighting fixtures at dusk, turning them off in the morning. Ideal for solar-powered lighting with batteries or low-voltage outdoor systems, it eliminates the need for manual switches and reduces unnecessary energy consumption.

How it works and how to install it
The sensor contains a photosensitive cell that continuously measures ambient light. When the intensity drops below 30-150 Lux (an adjustable threshold depending on the model), the internal relay activates and closes the electrical circuit to the lighting fixture. In the morning, when the light rises above this threshold, the sensor automatically disconnects the power.
Installation requires connecting the three colored wires to the 24V DC circuit: the red wire to positive, black to negative, and white to the load. The sensor is fixed to a wall or pole with the included metallic bracket, positioned so that the cell is not shadowed by objects. It does not require a certified electrician for low-voltage systems under 50V.

Does it work at 12V or only at 24V?
This model works exclusively at 24V DC. For 12V systems, there are dedicated variants with a different code.
How quickly does the light turn on after it gets dark?
The sensor reacts between 5 seconds and 1 minute, depending on how suddenly natural light decreases. The delay prevents false triggers when clouds pass by.
Can I connect multiple lamps to the same sensor?
Yes, as long as the total consumption does not exceed 10A at 24V. For example, you can control up to 5 LED lamps of 40W each.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
