How it works and how to install
The heating element is mounted in the lower part of the washing machine tub, where it heats the water to the programmed temperature. Before installation, disconnect the machine from the power supply and completely drain the tub. Remove the old heating element by unscrewing the flange bolts and disconnecting the electrical terminals, then install the new heating element in the same position. Check the seal with the included gasket and connect the sensor in the dedicated opening.

Clear signs are: water remains cold during washing, programs take much longer than normal, or the machine displays an error code related to heating. You can test the heating element for continuity with a multimeter.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
