How it works and how to install
The floodlight operates at 12V DC and is powered by the two alligator clips (red — positive, black — negative) connected directly to the terminals of a battery, solar batteries, or any stabilized 12V DC source. Mounting is done using the integrated adjustable metal bracket, with two screws, without the need for specialized electrical intervention. The lighting angle can be adjusted manually after tightening the bracket.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I connect this floodlight directly to a solar panel without a battery?
It is not recommended. The floodlight requires a stable 12V DC source, and solar panels provide variable voltage depending on available light. It is necessary to use a charge controller and an intermediate battery.
Does this floodlight work in the rain or can I leave it outside permanently?
Yes, the IP66 protection makes it resistant to strong water jets and dust, so it can be permanently mounted outdoors. The aluminum casing is designed for long-term outdoor use.
What is the length of the cable with the clips, and can I extend the power supply?
The included cable has a standard length sufficient for connecting to a nearby battery. If a longer distance is required, it can be extended with a cable of adequate cross-section (minimum 2.5 mm² for distances over 3 meters at 50W/12V).

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
