How it works and how to install it
The board is powered directly by a 12V DC source through the two poles marked on the PCB (+ and -). Mounting is done with screws in the four corners of the board, directly onto a metal heatsink or the housing of the lighting fixture that dissipates the generated heat. It does not require additional electronic components if the power supply is stabilized at 12V; for optimal lifespan, the use of an appropriate heatsink for 30W power is recommended.

It connects directly to a stabilized 12V DC source, without an additional driver. It is important that the source is of good quality and provides at least 2.5A for proper operation.
Is heatsink cooling necessary?
Yes, for 30W of thermal power dissipation, mounting on a metal heatsink is necessary. Without adequate thermal dissipation, the lifespan of the LEDs significantly decreases.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
